Mold Growth
Mold spores are found in virtually all outdoor environments and as a logical consequence - mold spores are expected to be found in most indoor environments as well. In indoor environments, water and moisture is the primary problem because it is the major contributing factor in promoting mold growth in settled spores. If a water source is not present, settled mold spores may lay dormant for many years, and will become triggered to germinate and grow only when the materials on which spores have settled becomes wet. The key to controlling and managing mold growth is to control moisture and humidity intrusion within living and working spaces.
